Ekiti SUBEB Extends Teachers’ Recruitment Examination to Three Days

The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has extended the qualifying examination for its ongoing teachers’ recruitment exercise from two days to three days.

The examination, initially scheduled for Friday, August 14 and Saturday, August 15, 2026, will now begin on Thursday, August 13 and end on Saturday, August 15, 2026.

The Board said the adjustment was necessitated by the large number of eligible applicants who successfully completed the recruitment process.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Permanent Secretary of Ekiti SUBEB, Mr Michael Omolayo, explained that the additional examination day was introduced to ensure a smooth and efficient conduct of the Computer-Based Test (CBT).

According to him, applicants who successfully completed their applications will receive notifications containing their assigned examination dates and times through the email addresses they provided during registration.

Omolayo disclosed that the CBT would be conducted at Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti. He advised shortlisted candidates to report to the examination venue strictly on their assigned dates and times and to come along with printed copies of their application forms for verification.

The Permanent Secretary further warned that only applicants who had received official invitations would be permitted to enter the examination halls.

He also stated that mobile phones and other electronic devices would not be allowed within the examination premises.

Omolayo urged candidates to avoid arriving at the venue outside their scheduled times, stressing that loitering around the examination centre would not be permitted.

He therefore advised all applicants to carefully follow the examination schedule and other instructions contained in their notification emails.
